July : Excellent 6 Month Sales
Recorded For Jets Marivent. |
| Jets
Marivent’s sales in the first 6 months of 2004 were far above
expectations. The official BRP distributor for 13 countries in Europe,
registered a growth of 37.53% on the same period in 2003.
|
| Johnson &
Evinrude OB business grew 40.78%, mainly due to the acceptance of the
Evinrude E-Tec line up and the growing dealer networks.
|
| The largest
growths were noted in Benelux with a increase of 59.59% in comparison
to last year’s first quarter. This was followed by Germany up 41.32
%, Spain up 37.47 % and the UK & Ireland up 32.62%.
|
|
“We are confident that we
will maintain this sales momentum in the coming months and are sure
that Johnson & Evinrude will increase it’s market share to
become one of the Out Board industry’s market leaders.” Says
Oliver Frols, President – Jets Marivent. |
|
Through the creation of a
Boat Division headed up by the experienced Product Manager Peter
Johnson, Jets Marivent will be offering it’s own Inflatable and RIB
lines and in the future also their own rigid boat range expanding
further the Jets Marivent group within the European Boat Industry in
the fore coming years. |
SEADOO PWC registered an
increase of 24.74% versus 2003. This impressive increase in a
relatively flat market is due to the outstanding sales of the new
Bombardier Recreational Products, the Seadoo RXP with its 215 hp and
recently released SeaDoo 3D model.
Benelux again is registering the largest growth, up 45.24%, followed
by Germany up 33.22%, UK & Eire up 22.79% and Spain up 10.34%. |
|
Jets Marivent is also
predicting a further increase to it’s market share in 2004 for all
countries, to over 50% -60%, which would result in a European market
leadership position. |
|
The main objective
nevertheless is to globally widen the PWC market base aided by the new
revolutionary SeaDoo 3D. |
|
SEA DOO Sport Boats sales
have also increased up to 21.95% versus same 2003 period. This is
mainly due to the wider more exclusive model range and the strong
sales growth in the UK market. |
Bombardier ATV is the fastest
growing 2004 sector within the Jets Marivent group.
A 87.49% growth in sales shows that Jets Marivent and BRP with it’s
expanding model range is steadily becoming stronger, defining it’s
position in this market place also.
Growth leader again is Benelux, with a spectacular increase of 156.95%
achieved, closely followed by the UK +124.82%, Spain + 86,38% and
Germany +56.83%. |
|
This outstanding growth is
due to the further development of dealer networks and specially
developed marketing campaigns supporting this innovative product
range. |
|
The P&A division growth
is up almost 20%, additional products and aggressive marketing
promotions expect to increase sales even further over the coming
months. |
|
Jets Marivent is predicting a
final increase in turnover of 20-25% on 2003 figures, rising to
55,000.000€. Jets Marivent continues to strive to be the number one
in Europe for specialist recreational products including the SEA DOO
PWC & Sportsboats, Johnson/Evinrude OB and Bombardier ATV’s. |
|
The Jets Marivent story began
with 2 friends turning their passion into a small dealership over 15
years ago. Jets Marivent is now dedicated to the import and
distribution of Bombardier Recreational Products in 13 European
countries and has a wide network of almost 700 licensed dealers. Its
headquarters are located in Barcelona, Spain with offices in Madrid,
Holland, Great Britain and two offices situated in Germany |

- Aquabiking on Watersports World
|
|
A great mix of news and

back on a strong financial footing... Squad boss Grant Dalton talks
more about that. |

Then it's the 1200cc aquabike
grand prix from Cienfuegos in Cuba, which saw these machines flying

Plus we've the lowdown on the
Olympic sailing classes in one of the final big regattas before the
Athens Games, it is of course the Spa regatta in Holland. Among the

July : Jetski is bought for lifeguards |
|
Lifeguards at a Cornwall cove
have been given a jetski to help with rescues during the summer
months.
|
|
Patrol workers say it will
help to cut response times to major incidents.
|
|
More than 6,000 people a day
use the Sennen Cove area during the busy summer tourist season and
lifeguard patrols are at the beach every day.
|
|
But lifeguard staff say that,
with so many people using the water, they need the jetski to make sure
that they get to bathers in trouble in time.
|
|
The new equipment was bought
by Penwith District Council.
|
|
It has also been partly
sponsored by Lyn Walton, a regular visitor to Sennen, who contacted
the council to say that she liked the cove so much that she wanted to
help.
