| Visitors to the South’s newest show, the Southampton Sportsboat and RIB Show at Ocean Village Marina will have the opportunity to enter a Prize Draw to win an Avon Rover 310 RIB with an 8hp Yamaha engine. This 3.1m/10’2” RIB has a capacity for up to four people and together with the Yamaha engine and BHG Marine supplied prop guard is worth a total of £3,200. The Show runs over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 1st to Monday 3rd May 2004. | |

| This weekend (21st and 22nd) sees the first Absolute Beginner Freestyle weekend taking place at Queenford Jetski, just outside Abingdon in Oxfordshire. |
| This weekend is open to all riders who have an interest in freestyle. This does not have to be at competition level. |
| Maybe you just want to master that tail slide, or learn how to ride backwards on the hood. whatever you want to learn or perfect help is at hand. |
| Also the full range of freestyle parts will be on show by Air Time Products and any questions about freestyle modifications will also be answered. |

| 9th February : Sea Rescue Drama |
| A DRAMATIC sea rescue unfolded on Sunday afternoon after two teenage canoeists become stranded off the coast at Avon Beach in Mudeford. |
| Shocked onlookers watched from the shore as the two lads started shouting and waving for help after one of their canoes filled with water and sank just before 3pm. |
| Two local jet skiers who were out on the sea at the time rushed to their aid, while Mudeford's inshore lifeboat was immediately scrambled. |
