19th June : JSRA Open Endurance National Championships
Open Endurance National Championships Hunstanton 19th/20th July 2003
HOW FIT ARE YOU?
Come and test your endurance skills on a 4 mile track off the coast of Hunstanton in Norfolk at this years Open Endurance National Championships on the 19th - 20th July. Hunstanton Water Sports Club will host the event and Searles Leisure Resort will be sponsoring it along with other local sponsors.
This 2-day event is open to both race and recreational riders and for both stand-up and sit-down type craft. There will be three classes, each with two motos (one Saturday, one Sunday) and a party and BBQ on Saturday night.
Secure overnight pit parking for skis and equipment has been arranged at the club and Searles Leisure Resort is offering a 10% discount off all types of accommodation (campers, static caravan rental, etc)
CLASSES
Amateur Runabout (open to all sit down craft) - 45mins
Pro-Runabout (open to all current race license holders) - 50mins
Pro-Am Ski (open to all solo ski riders) - 30mins

18th June : JSRA British Jetsport Championships Round 3
This weekend sees the tour head north to Rother Valley Country Park for Round 3 of the British Championships.
With the weather we have been experiencing lately combined with a great location it promises to be a top weekend of exciting racing.
Why not come and support your sport?
Rother Valley Country Park is located just off junction 31 of the M1. Approaching from the south leave the M1 at junction 31 and turn left at the roundabout, follow road to next roundabout and turn left in the direction of Wales Bar Village, follow road through village and down the hill. Rother Valley Country Park is on the right.

17th June : Xtreme Action Weekend Latest
We are getting ever closer to the largest PWC event held in the UK.
Tattershall Country Park on the 6th/7th September is the location. All the onsite static homes and log cabins have been booked but there is still plenty of room remaining for touring caravans and tents. If you haven't booked your pitch yet, you need to call Tattershall direct on 01526 343193
There is an admission charge of £5 for a weekend ticket for everyone who attends. Whether you are competing, participating or spectating you will need to purchase one.

9th June : Mic Randle A Sad Day (from jetskier.co.uk forum)

Sometimes news comes through that you just don't want to report. This is without doubt the hardest post we've had to put on the Forum.

It is with great sadness indeed that we have to report the passing away this morning of Mic Randle, Waterwise, Swansea.

Mic truly was one of the great characters on the UK's PW scene. Every person who met him will have received a lasting impression as there was no way you could fail to be impressed by the man. A huge character with a heart and sideburns to match.

Mic was widely regarded as the UK's leading authority on PW Safety. As well as running his own RYA Training Centre, contributing to the Magazine and spreading the gospel at Boat Shows Mic was also to be seen co-ordinating the safety at many of the events around the UK. Most recently Mic was assisting Yamaha in their Wavefest tour. It is at events like this I am sure is where many of you will have met him.

Mic leaves behind a loving family and our thoughts go out to Val and the rest of the family. Please be sensitive in their moment of grief and seriously consider the appropriate response. At JS&PW we suggest any messages of condolence be either posted here or forwarded to editor@jetskier.co.uk - they will be forwarded when appropriate.

Mic Randle a friend, colleague and true ambassador for the sport - you will be sorely missed - RIP.

5th June : Corona Extra European tour / World Series news

Round two of the Corona Extra European Tour 25/26/27th July at Mirandela ,Portugal is also the first round of the World Series. It is almost certain Team Kawasaki will be represented at Mirandela, Dinant and Genoa, the three remaining European rounds and also the first World Series competition rounds. Not only can we expect to see Chris MacClugage but also Dustin Motzouris and Steven Dauliach. Also watch out for appearances by Nicolas Rius, Tim Bushman, Allesander Lenzi and Marc Sickerling and other stars of the PWC Racing world.

1st June : Stolen Kawasaki Jetski Watercraft
On Friday 30^th May at the end of a magazine test, Kawasaki’s demo/press STX-12F was stolen from JB (John Battleday) Waterski near Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey.
The new for 2003, four stroke STX-12F was secured to a Snipe R300T roller trailer and this was locked to a Kawasaki van with a thick chain lock.
Sometime between 4.00pm and 4.20pm on Friday 30^th May this chain was removed from the van. The trailer and Jet Ski® Watercraft were then towed away from the lake.
An eye witness report gives the following details :
A badly painted yellow transit style van with double wheels on the rear axle was parked next to the Jet Ski Watercraft . The occupants were two white males. One of the men got out of the van and tampered with the trailer before removing it from the Kawasaki van and attaching it to their own. They then drove off with both the Jet Ski Watercraft and trailer.

The Jet Ski Watercraft was stolen without the magnetic key or the lanyard so please be aware that the thieves may be trying to sell or operate the craft without these items. If you have any information on the whereabouts of this Jet Ski Watercraft or trailer then please contact Paul Cross on 01628 856668 or Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222 quoting Crime Number D/03/8955.
